Mix up Your Elf Spaghetti

The best noodle to serve with syrup is made with edible cookie dough! Nothing gross about this plate of spaghetti! Use the Edible Cookie Dough recipe with softened butter to create a yummy soft dough.

Spaghetti Noodle Equipment:

Edible Cookie Dough Noodle Ingredients:

  • Softened Butter
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Monk Fruit Sweetener{If desired to cut down on sugar content}
  • Pure Vanilla Extract
  • White Wheat Flour
  • Milk of Choice{I like Creamy Oat or Coconut}

What Does Buddy the Elf Put on Everything

When trying to recreate this look people often wonder: What does Buddy the Elf put on everything? The short answer is: SYRUP!

Choose Your Buddy the Elf Spaghetti Toppings

What does Buddy the Elf put on his spaghetti? Buddy uses regular spaghetti noodles as a base then adds:

  • Miniature marshmallows
  • M&M's
  • Maple Syrup
  • Chocolate Fudge Pop Tarts
  • Chocolate syrup
  • He's also got caramel syrup on the table for good measure!

You can see in slow-mo that the Buddy the Elf Pop Tart flavor is Chocolate Fudge. Use them as the crowning glory. Then mix it all up with your hands before devouring. It's a hilarious scene that you can watch here:

Since I didn't want my children to be sick {like Will Farrell in the filming of this scene!} we kept our toppings to maple syrup and Chocolate Pop Tarts.

And how about that cookie dough potato!? It might look like a potato but you need to create a cylindrical shape to fit the dough into the pasta press.

Once your cookie dough “potato” is loaded into the pasta press, add the spaghetti noodle ring and start to twist. You'll want to make sure the dough is chilled before pressing so it holds it shape.

The more fluid your movements with the pasta press, the longer noodles you'll get. You might want to have someone hold the press while the other person twists the handle. Refrain from putting pressure on the finished noodles or trying to move them around, so I recommend pressing noodles directly onto each individual plate for serving.

Add Your Elf Movie Spaghetti Toppings

Now's the time to get a sugar high! Pick your poison and go all out like Buddy the Elf, or hold back a little like we did. Choose from the Elf Movie spaghetti toppings:

  • Miniature marshmallows
  • M&M's
  • Maple Syrup
  • Chocolate Pop Tarts
  • Chocolate and Caramel Syrup
  • We also had candy, candy canes, and candy corns on the Elf Themed Party dinner table for adding…

Enjoy Your Buddy The Elf Spaghetti

I don't recommend mixing these noodles with your fingers but I do think you should keep the serving size small. This is quite the dose of sugar so make sure kids have access to a large room without any breakables after eating! My kids could only handle a few bites, so serve it up with Elf Christmas decorations and a big glass of milk!

If you brave this Elf Movie Spaghetti I'd love to hear about it in the comments below. And if you share photos, I want to see it too! Please tag us @partieswithacause on Pinterest, Facebook, and Instagram. We love celebrating all your hard work!
