Gluten-Free Thanksgiving Recipes (2024)

Thanksgiving is just daysaway, soin case you haven’t fully planned-out your menu, I thought I’d share some of my favorite recipes that are perfect for accommodating any friends or family members who have special dietary needs.

I’ve included some of our tried-and-true favorites, like my spiced cranberry sauce, maple glazed sweet potatoes, and French Silk Pie, along with a few new ideas to try this year, like my Vegan Skillet “Cornbread” and from-scratch Green Bean Casserole.As always, all of the recipes are gluten-free, and many of them are also dairy-free, vegan, and paleo-friendly.

1.Vegan Green Bean Casserole

This casserole gets its creaminess from blended garbanzo beans as a low-fat and dairy-free “cream sauce.” It’s super-flavorful and super-quick to prepare, using frozen green beans as a shortcut.If you’d prefer a bean-free version, check out my Clean Green Bean Casserole, which is entirely vegetable based.

2.Vegan Corn Casserole

This casserole tastes remarkably like the version made with Jiffy corn mix, butit’s made using whole-grain millet as a gluten-free alternative.It’s just as addictive as the original, and easy to prepare.

3.Shredded Brussels Sprouts Salad

This salad is full of festive colors and issturdy enough to sit out for a while after being tossed in the vinaigrette, so it’s perfect for bringing to a Thanksgiving potluck.

4.Vegan “Cornbread”

This bread is gluten-free and, surprisingly, corn-free… but it still tastes like cornbread! It’s the perfect alternative to dinner rolls this year.

This vegan side dish is a delicious alternative to traditional sweet potato casserole– no marshmallows needed!

6. Vegan Mac n’ Cheese

This easy cranberry sauce calls for just a handful of all-natural ingredients and tastes a million times better than the kind that comes out of a can.

If you want the flavor of mashed potatoes without all of the starchy carbs, this mashed cauliflower dish is a lighter alternative. When you top them with freshly cracked pepper or your favorite gravy, they are just as satisfying as traditional spuds!

For those of you who need to avoid grains entirely, this vegetable-based stuffing is a delicious alternative. It’s loaded with flavor, but much lower in fat and carbohydrates for those following a special diet.

This is hands-down my favorite pie recipe, and I love that it’s egg-free and soy-free. It tastes remarkably like the real thing, while being paleo and vegan-friendly!

12.No-Bake Pumpkin Tarts

Instead of making a whole pie, how about serving these cute individual tartlets to your guests? They are super-easy to prepare and taste amazing!

13.Grain-Free Pumpkin Bars

This recipe calls for just a handful of all-natural ingredients– no flour required– to make the most moist and delicious pumpkin bars you’ve ever tasted. Top them with this Maple Pecan Glaze for an extra decadent treat!

This flourless chocolate cake is naturally sweetened, but still totally decadent. It’s so rich that a little slice goes a long way! (Especially when topped with a dollop of coconut whipped cream.)
