Delicious, soft, and fluffy herbed butter pull-apart bread recipe. This recipe makes a great snack for the family or an appetizer for an upcoming party you might be hosting.
In short, this herbed butter bread can be made ahead too. An unquestionably tasty loaf of bread that is made with squares of dough layered with herbed butter.
Let’s be honest. Bread is delicious.
And, as a result, I may have a slight addiction to it. Haha.
Rolls with dinner. Baguettes with soup. Croissants and Bagels with breakfast.
YUM. So good… and so unhealthy.
Good bread is the most fundamentally satisfying of all foods; and good bread with fresh butter, the greatest of feasts.-James Beard
However, sometimes we just have to enjoy what we love. Right?
Are you familiar with pull-apart bread? I remember having Monkey Bread for the first time and, well, drooling. I loved that you pulled a piece off and enjoyed the deliciousness. Not to mention that it didn’t require a knife.
Pull-apart bread is pretty genius — it can simply be torn with your hand.
Making Herbed Putter Pull-Apart Bread Recipe
Ingredients:
Flour
Instant Yeast
Salt
Sugar
Milk
Butter
Egg
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Parmesan Cheese
Thyme
Rosemary
Oregano
Instructions for Pull-Apart Bread Recipe:
Using a dough hook attachment on a stand mixer, combine flour with yeast, salt, and sugar.
Add the milk, butter, and eggs. Knead for approximately 6 minutes. After that, transfer the dough to a bowl and cover. Let it rise for 1 hour.
In a separate bowl, combine the butter with garlic butter, onion powder, parmesan cheese, thyme, rosemary, and oregano until creamy. Set aside.
Grease loaf pan and set aside.
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and divide the dough into four even pieces. Using a rolling pin, roll out each piece until you get a large rectangle, around 12×8 inches.
Spread a generous layer of herbed butter on top and cut into five to six smaller rectangles. Thereafter, place the rectangles on top of each other.
Transfer stack of rectangles into prepared loaf pan. Repeat the previous step with the rest of the dough.
Cover with a towel or cloth and let the dough rise for 20 minutes.
Place loaf pan in the oven and bake at 350º F for approximately 45 to 50 minutes or until golden brown.
Additional Notes:
- This bread will stay fresh for approximately 5 days.
- Add some chopped parsley and/or pepper, optional.
- Feel free to try different fillings. Add some pesto, chopped salami, or even caramelized onions to the layers.
