Although Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, Claire Holt and more cast members from The Originals have moved on from the CW drama, the feeling of family created on the show lives on.The Originals premiered in October 2013 as the first spinoff of The Vampire Diaries. After playing Josh on five seasons of The Originals, Krueger remained on the small screen with roles on Hawaii Five-0, NCIS, Good Trouble and Roswell: New Mexico. Since 2021, he’s starred as Coach Ben Scott on Showtime's critically-acclaimed series Yellowjackets.

In December 2023, The Vampire Diaries alum Candice Accola confirmed her romance with Krueger by posting an Instagram Reel featuring a video of them kissing.
