UPDATE:

I've received too many inquiries on this post to respond to each one and I think that people may be missing important information that is contained in this post, specifically, the "Salvage" Title Status. A Salvage title occurs when a vehicle is destroyed or too expensive to repair compared to its cash value. When this happens, the salvage status is reported to the DMV and the scooter cannot be licensed until the repairs have been made and the vehicle passes an inspection. In my case, the damage is 100% cosmetic (scratches) and should be able to pass inspection As Is, but I can't guarantee that. Vehicles with a Salvage Title sell for below market value because their new owner has to go through the process of restoring the title. I'm not a lawyer or an expert on Salvage Title. Anyone who wants to buy my Vespa will need to sign a bill of sale acknowledging that they are purchasing a bike with a Salvage Title in its "As Is" damaged condition.

I will only be responding to inquiries from serious buyers who acknowledge the Salvage Title status in their email. If you don't have experience with Salvage Titles, this is not the bike for you.

***** End of Update *****

I am the original owner of this 2009 VESPA GTV-250 with extremely low miles at 3,680. I’m selling my VESPA because I had an accident that caused minor cosmetic damage to the right side. I was traveling at low speed and had to swerve to my right and the bike ended up on its right side and incurred scratches in the following areas:

a.The silver decorative strip on the right side of the fairing (Pics #5,7).
b.The plastic trim below the right rear fender (Pic #6).
c.The metal decorative trim on the muffler (Pic #6).
d.The steel right rear fender, which is part of the frame (Pic #6).

None of the scratches affect how the bike drives. It is completely street legal and in normal operating condition. I estimate that the market value of this bike (based on low mileage) would be $3-4K without scratches. IF you are looking for a reliable bike in perfect riding condition with crazy low miles, this bike could be repaired to "average" condition for a few hundred dollars and be worth $2,500-$3,500. I’m willing to sell it for $1,500 to the person who wants reliable transportation and is willing to do the work themselves.

NOTE: The Scratch that is expensive to repair is the one on the right rear steel fender because it’s impossible to color match the paint. In order to return the bike to its original condition, the entire metal frame would have to be repainted and that requires stripping the bike down to the frame which is expensive. BUT, if you are willing to live with an imperfect paint job, the inexpensive solution is to simply paint over the scratch and most people are not going to notice unless they look closely at the fender. If I was going to keep the bike, I would replace the silver trim, the plastic trim below the right rear fender, and I'd paint the metal rear fender with the best color match paint I could find.

What is the difference between the GT and the GTV model?

V for vintage, adds a rounded analog gauge cluster, low-profile windscreen, chrome handlebar and a large chrome headlamp on the front fender like on the very first Vespa. The brown split-leather saddle is divided into rider and passenger sections, and matches the handgrips. The automatic transmission means there's no shifting, and the 249cc single is very quick around town and is also rated for freeway driving - topping out at 75-80 MPH. I don’t recommend freeway driving but it’s nice if you need to transport it for service. The extra power is great for a passenger or big hills.
This VESPA comes with four accessories:

1.Matching Helmut Carrier (In factory box)
2.VESPA Rain Cover
3.Battery Trickle Charger (for Winter Storage)
4.Steel Car Carrier for scooters and small motorcycles.
5.Motorcycle Helmet

All accessories (except the Helmet Carrier) are available for separate purchase. Contact me for pricing.
Cash Only. No trades. I don’t respond to private email requests.
