Turning 21 is the most hbirthday for a very specific reason. You can book a hotel room anywhere, get your horizontal ID, and finally buy alcohol. Now, the ID may not seem like a big deal out of those three activities, but it is. Don’t be like me and wait almost two years to get a horizontal ID, or you may find yourself back to square one. Many places will assume that it is fake even when it is very real, and deny you. Spending your birthday morning at the DMV may sound like the last place you want to be, but it’ll be worth it. Once you have that shiny new ID and can get carded!
There’s a lot to celebrate about being 21. Even if you're not the one reaching the milestone, it's important to celebrate the person who is.
